The not so "Black and White" series......

"See Everything"

I am back....the camping trip was so relaxing at first....then sooooooo much heat...and where on earth did all the flies come from? It was uncanny! The bugs are really bad this year in the south at least where I am!  Ugh!

I and my hubby got way too much sun...he...looks like a lobster..poor guy! My 10 year old daughter was teasing him...she would squat down and hop around and clapped each hand together like a lobster claw! LOL It was quite commical! We love you lobster boy! hee hee

We left the campsite only after a day and 3/4 when dark clouds came in and threatened rain...so we quickly gathered the tent and other camping geer to pack it all into our mini van! I was kind of glad it was ungodly hot! The next morning I woke with a fat bottom lip....what in the world I thought....I did get too much sun and had sunburned my lip LOL The swelling has gone down but it is quite chapped!! Lawdy!

Anywho! These 3 pages are the so called "Black and White" series.....The first one "See Everything" started out not too bad for black and white and color just kept seeping in and progressed even more so in the 3rd and final piece!! Well! I tried! LOL

"Need To Be"

See! Even more color! LOL I guess I didn't challenge myself enough! It is okay though, I like these pieces anyways! :O)

Ok! I think your going to like this next one...it has two photo views taken of it....

"The Now" (view one) ***note the valentine*** This vintage valentine is a mechanical one...paper that is...and of course manual...now here is view 2 of the same piece...

"The Now" (view two) ...See the crate the little girl is sitting on...it moves up and down!! Cute huh!? Underneath peeks out a german scrap kitty cat!

Well....so much for the "Black and White" series! LOL All in all it was enjoyable! Now onto other things in the group news...We now have a total of 25 members!! Yay! I am getting even more excited about it! Check out all the new members blogs and their wonderful art!!! Please note there are some members who do not have blogs as of yet!!! wink wink! Some had asked if they could play along and not have a blog!!! Well of course you can!!! Everyone is welcome! So here we go...

Taking a very short needed break....

Hello all!

My family and I are taking a little weekend break to go camping! It is a much needed break for us all....Please don't fret...everything I have planned is still in effect as it stands...so no worries! My hubby has been working very hard and needs to be somewhere where there is no phones or computers etc....I think I can handle that too...Plus our girls need one little small vacation before school is back in session which is not too far away..If I am thinking correctly ..about 3 weeks they begin school again! My middle daughter begins jr.high this year...sigh! Big sigh! She is growing so fast...and the youngest not too far behind! With this vacation we will have time to use and abuse our sense of humors to their fullest extent!

My daughters and I have just spent the evening on our back deck roasting marshmellows and making shadow puppets and giggling and laughing till we are rolling on the floor of the deck! No kidding! A most enjoyable evening!

I am off to bed ....don't know if I will sleep much...as the girls are having so much trouble sleeping with the excitement of the camping trip and getting to see my hubbys best bud in the A.M.!! I am equally excited! Because I get to see my hubby and kids smile ear to ear when they see this guy and I too.. this guy is the greatest! And also eager to see my hubby relax and my kids enjoy the outdoors! You just don't even know how much this little trip means to us all!

Although I don't pray for rain...please listen to this You Tube version of George Winston ..Rainsong...so beautifully played!! Sigh!!!!!!!!! George is the music in my soul!! So calming, especially when the world is rushing by ...it just slows you down enough to listen to what is around you!! Hope you enjoy!!

"Sweet Paper Addiction"

Sorry about the digi-ness...I assure you that it is clear as a bell in person!!

How sweet it is! Paper that is! I have been busily building my collections and yummy paper stash! It has been most pleasurable and as the title of this piece says Addiction! I spend alot of time in the evenings searching for just the perfect paper or images to use in my art!

If you have not read the previous post...take a look! I have decide to start a group "Collage Play with Crowabout."  If your interested, please go over the group info and email or comment if you would like to join in!!!! 

There may be a few changes involved with the makings of this new group, to make it easier for all to play! I will update that sort of information as it comes about!

"Rainy Day Play"

Number 6 of the 8 piece series!

And guess what?! My laser printer isn't broken...not at all!!! What it was, was this...I can no longer print from Photo Gallery...Why? Your guess is as good as mine!! lol But if I open what I am wanting to print in Microsoft Paint....Hey now...I CAN PRINT! Wonders never cease....Lawdy! All this time I thought my printer was broken beyond help and it wasn't the operater either! LOL ...4 and a half months I had to do without my printer and the darn thing wasn't even broke!!!!!! ***smacks self in the head***

"Wonderous Things"

Now this piece fits right in with this post with a title like that! lol

I need your help! Noooooo not mentally! Geez! I am beyond help on that subject! LOL What I need is....some information on where I might find a good program to convert jpeg's to PDF!!?? I am not telling what I need it for...that is a surprise! Some of you may know what I am up to but I won't tell! LOL Please if you have any info concerning this type of program...Please please please let me know! I just may have a pretty package for that person who can supply me with the info I need! :O) Sounds a bit like bribery to me but I know some of you are game! LOL

Only a few pieces left in my Etsy shop up for grabs! It is almost time for these lovelies to disappear into storage! Grab em up while you can! These new pieces (8 piece series) will be listing soon! I have one more to show you and then it's on to the Black and White series (a little hint: not so black and white lol) I had an email from a collage friend asking how they were going. Well....You know me and color! Let's just say color had it's own way of sneaking into the picture! LOL Those I will start showing here after I complete this other series!

After that....I have way more pages that I have been working on also! I don't know where all this inspiration is coming from but I'M LOVING IT! hee hee  Five in that category and 3 in the Not So Black and White series! That's a big whopping 16 pages of yumminess!

One last thing before I go play....Another reason I need that PDF program  is I have some scrumptious printable goodies FREE for your collage art! Now if that is not a good enough reason to hunt me down a program then I don't know what is! LOL

"COLLAGE PLAY with CROWABOUT" New group information and signup!!

I will then have everyone who plays along send me a photo of their finished pieces via email and I will compile them into a Photo Album and post it on my blog for everyone's viewing pleasure! I will give you till Friday to finish your art piece and get them sent to me, so that I may put them into a Photo Album. No later than 9PM EST.

"Keep Moving"

Staying focused and motivated is what I am doing these days. Haven't gotten outside much lately with all the rain we are having. I want to sit outside in the sunshine, swim with my girls and grill our dinners. That won't happen for awhile, more rain in the forecast! Maybe I can get my parents to bottle up some of that sunshine and send it to us and in return I will share some of this lovely rain, which I am sure they would welcome it with open arms. Especially with the triple digits they are having in the Great North West! :O)

So, I will continue finishing up the last of the 8 Art Pages and already have more that I am working on with a black and white theme! They are fun and challenging! And that is just what I will be doing today along with the laundry that seems to grow overnight! That sock monster must have a friend! hee hee

Please send sunshine! It is time to pick Blackberries!!! Yum!

Number 3 and 4 of Eight...

"In The Heart"

This is number 3 of 8 Art Pages that I am currently working on! And, YES those are true vintage childrens valentine cards in my works! I will use them till I run out...I did how ever make copies of them for future use when I need that little bit of extra color and cuteness! I am currently in search of more of these sweet valentines! ***quickly turns on the theme song "Mission Impossible*** hee hee

While I am working on these pieces and before listing them in my ETSY shop....there still remains a few pieces in there up for grabs....because when I start listing these...the others will disappear into storage! So if you want one better get yourself over there and grab one up!! :O)

"Flying"

Number 4 of Eight!

You know something! I don't like the new things they did to TP! As the older version was difficult enough for my brain! lol I still have yet to get my blog in order! You see the side bars along side of my bloggy post?! Everything is all squished together like pancakes! There are two lovely empty sidebars that I wish the ones I had now were there! Confused yet?! Well it is not making any sense to me. And no matter how hard I try to fix it, it never comes out the way I want it to and then I get frusterated and just say poohie on it! And another thing....My poor bloggy sista's have gone missing! They are there plain and clear in my Typelist but will not show on my blog!! Ugh! I went through and deleted the ones that would not show and added them back, but then some of my other Blog Sista's disappeared from view!!!!!! What to do what to do!

More Art...

"Colorful Dreams"

When I started out with this green background I was kind of not so sure that I was loving it at the time. But as time went on adding papers, images, doodles and journaling...I am now digging it! :O)

Thinking now...I am wanting to try searching out some  new background techniques, plus start experimenting on my own! I get bored and tired of the same ol same ol and get in the mood to do something different! That would explain why I am always moving furniture and decor around my house and reorganizing shelves and such trying to find a balance I can live with. Well guess what?! There isn't a balance for that! LOL My world is ever changing...I suppose because I am always growing and changing  along with it and need to spice up my world and do things differently so things don't get dull and boring!

Right now I have to get off my duff and get myself put together to go pick up my hubby from the airport! Wooohooooooo! :D Then when I return I am positive my hubby will be taking over our only internet connection which will give me time to go play with paints and crayons and come up with something different for backgrounds!

Some Art Finally...

"Break Free"

1st of 8 Journal Art Pages completed! Yay!

I have been trying to post all day long but due to my computer internet connection being a TOTAL JERK, and now almost 4PM EST I am finally posting! UGH!

In just a few short days my daughter, son in law and my grandbaby are moving to Wyoming....why? There is just no work here for my son in law. I wish this were not true but sadly it is. Me and my hubby DO NOT want them to go!! More crud to deal with. But before they gooooo ...I am getting ready to have my son in law give me another tattoo! Going to have my Grandsons name on the back of my left shoulder...the night before last he finished shading in my first one...I will show it again when it heals. It looks really great!

I will try to work on some more of my pages tonight and hopefully get another blog entry up tomorrow or shortly after!

Meanwhile here is a blog I am loving right now ...It is in French I believe...I flunked the language but you won't need to know the language to enjoy it! Agence Eureka is the place to enjoy viewing this collectors love for vintage paper!

And THIS one!!! Where another paper collector has yummy vintage posters!

OMG! Have you been to see Teesha Moore's website lately! SHE'S POSTED LOTS MORE NEW ART JOURNAL PAGES!!! Woohooooooooooo! I am like in total heaven!!!

Let's Spice it up!!!

Ohhhhhhh would you look at what Suzan sent meeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Suzan sent me a lovely package of goodies!!! What a gal!! I have a total of 3 photos of all the good stuff she sent I could of got at least 2-3 more photos of it all...there was sooooo much!! I am positive I could of layed it all out and it would of covered my whole bed! hee hee Suzan! Thank you sooooooo very much! And this is what she got in return..... YUM !!!

I am dealing with alot of crud right now but I am getting through it and trying to keep a stiff upper lip. So I have finally begun creating again after a long lull and will have them posted really soon. Psst! I have a total of 8 new pieces coming!!! hee heee heeeeeeeee I have to find me a copy/print shop first though so that I have plenty of stash paper to play with! I also have a ton of vintage goodness to share on Flickr Collage Images. Awhile back and just before we left South Carolina for Tennessee...I stopped at my favorite Antique/Junk shop and found a large memory book stuffed with old letters and valentines from the 1960's! Also found many many old photographs to share with you also! So keep your eyes open and I will let you know as soon as they are posted on Flickr! :O)

In Loving Memory...

My heart aches to have my friend back...the first and only friend I had here in Tennessee...our friendship was anew and cut very short...I will miss you Trish...God is embracing you now and he shall give you beautiful wings to fly...bless you darlin...we shall meet again one day!
